Valet Supervisor

Location: Pala, CA

Responsible for assisting guests in fulfilling their needs and requests with an efficient, courteous, and professional level of service appropriate to that of a Four Diamond hotel.  To supervise the valet department and ensure that all company polices, and procedures are followed.

  • Two or more years of Supervisory experience
  • Experience as Valet Lead
  • Should have proper phone etiquette, people, and strong communication skills.
  • Pleasant and outgoing personality.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Should have personal computer skills; Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook program knowledge preferred.
  • Able to remain calm and professional in a busy environment.
  • Previous Four Diamond hotel experience.
  • Experience with Kronos time keeping.
  • Ability to assess different situations and determine correct results in a quick and professional manner.

  • Must read, write, speak, and understand English

Essential Job Functions:

  • Knowledge of room availability at all times, for future and present dates.
  • Maintains appropriate staffing levels by interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, promoting, disciplining, and terminating team members as needed.
  • To assist with implementation of a Training Program which includes periodic evaluation of guest service standards.
  • Control payroll costs, ensuring sufficient coverage at any given time.
  • Works closely with Hotel Manager to ensure tight, effective, and well-controlled security of guest and hotel property and vehicles.
  • Ensures the Department is properly equipped with supplies and that costs are kept to a minimum.
  • To attend and hold departmental team member and individual meetings.
  • Regularly check the appearance and uniforms of the team members.
  • Ensure service is always of the highest degree and meeting Four Diamond standards.
  • Always be on the lookout for new ideas, study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of Valet Leads and team members.
  • Ensure that operating equipment is always in perfect working condition.
  • Handle any problems and guest complaints when necessary.
  • Be aware of special promotions within the hotel, spa, entertainment, and casino.
  • Ensure close communication with other departments in the hotel, spa, entertainment, and casino.
  • Enforce with all team members, the company policies and procedures pertaining to hotel regulations and standards.
  • Check email correspondence and ensure procedures for handling inquiries and requests are handled in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the productivity and efficiency of valet parking. Constantly overseeing work done.
  • Ensure that team members are always aware of room availability and do not inform walk-ins that the hotel is full without directive from Hotel Manager or Reservation and PBX Manager.
