Surveillance Operator

Location: Pala, CA

Monitor casino and associated areas via CCTV and direct observation to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policy and procedures.

  • Previous Surveillance or gaming experience and /or investigative background, preferred.
  • Preferred one-year knowledge of casino games and monitor room equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of casino procedures and gaming regulations.
  • Basic computer software and hardware knowledge desired.
  • Must be competent in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Must have the ability to learn quickly and have good hand eye coordination.
  • Must be a team player and have a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must read, write, and speak English.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Special surveillance – CCTV intensive dedication, close observation of a target game, team member or patron.
  • Observation dedicated to a game or a person, which is compared to written documentation.
  • Monitors Table Games, Slots, Casino Cage, Soft Count, Hard Count, Change Booths, change persons and all Team Members on/or adjunct to casino floor.
  • Monitors all areas of the property, both indoor & outdoor.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable procedures, Title 31, etc.
  • Maintains familiarity with Gaming Commission statutes, Pala Casino Resort and Spa policy and all appropriate department procedures.
  • Testifies in procedures stated above as required.
  • Understands and operates all Surveillance CCTV equipment, videotape recordings, camera switching, programming equipment, and use of all computer equipment.
  • Maintains confidentiality within the established guidelines.
  • Completes all job-related paperwork and tape reviews.
  • Conducts audits on a daily basis as directed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
