The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces, ensuring plant health, and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the property
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests and other team members
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s; to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions
- Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations.
- Able to read, write, and understand English.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assists in maintaining all outdoor cosmetic items in the casino.
- Mow, edge, and fertilize lawns.
- Weed and mulch landscape beds.
- Maintenance of sprinklers and timers systems.
- Trim small trees, hedges, and shrubs.
- Remove unwanted, dead, or damaged trees.
- Plant shrubs, flowers, and trees.
- Water gardens, lawns, and landscapes.
- Monitor and maintain plant health.
- Apply fertilizers and other plant care products.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment.
- Monitors workload and advises supervisor of work overload.
- Assists engineering staff in repairs.
- Maintains a neat, clean and organized work area in the engineering shop.
- Prepares daily work forms.
- Operates landscaping equipment, power sweeper and high pressure washer.
- Responds to maintenance requests and house calls.
- Ensures a maximum level of service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained.
- Maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all rules, regulations and controls of the company.
- Keeps up to date with new landscape products and ideas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
