Location: Pala, CA
The Pala Casino Food Expeditor has the primary responsibility to serve all guests while providing sincere and prompt tableside service to all guests. The expeditor must be able to call out table numbers, describe all dishes brought to the dining room in an organized attentive manner, and answer all food related questions.
- Six (6) months experience in a high-volume dining restaurant as a food runner and/or server.
- Fine dining and/or upscale casual dining experience
- Must read, write, and speak English
Essential Job Functions:
- Monitors overtime, staff motivation
- Expedite food from the kitchen to the table as dictated by sequence of service and by the Chef
- Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner
- Describe menu features as related including changes and additions
- Perform open and closing side-work
- Describe food placement on the table, answering detailed questions in relation to the dishes served
- Communicate needs of the guest to kitchen and management
- Assist management in smooth operation and service quality
- Knowledge of food and menu preparation
- Ability to multi-task and work soundly in a fast paced team environment
- Effective listening abilities with strong judgement skills
